CAMERA ALERTS ยท SITE MONITORING

Help your team act on the camera events that matter.

Start with the event you need to notice and the person who should respond. Assess your cameras and test the alert process before expanding it.

DEPLOYMENT METHODOLOGY

Assess the full workflow before scaling

Three steps to a measured, honest deployment. No vendor lock-in, no blanket accuracy claims.

01

Review camera suitability

Check camera models, authorized stream access, lighting and the view needed for each event. Compatibility with a protocol does not establish detection quality.

02

Agree data handling

Document where video is processed, what is retained and who can access it. External messages or clips leave the local network; local processing alone does not make a system air-gapped.

03

Measure a pilot

Record useful events, missed events, false alerts and operator response under representative conditions. Confirm costs and support commitments in the proposal.

DUE DILIGENCE

Evidence to request before procurement

Ask for a demonstration using comparable camera views, a written scope, a data-flow diagram and documented acceptance checks. Request references with the customer's permission and verify their relevance to your project.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Common project questions

Honest, vendor-neutral answers about what CCTV analytics and localized computer vision can and cannot do for your site.

Can VigilantX work with existing CCTV cameras?

Compatibility depends on the camera and recorder models, authorized stream access, configuration and the image detail needed for the task. Assess representative views before deciding what can be reused.

Does local video processing mean no information leaves the site?

Not necessarily. Recording and analysis can be local while alerts, clips, support access or backups use external services. Agree the complete data flow and distinguish local processing from full network isolation.

How is performance measured?

Use representative footage and an agreed event definition. Record missed events, false alerts, uncertain cases and the complete path from detection to operator response. Demonstration timings are not a deployment guarantee.

What does a website price estimate include?

Treat it as an indicative planning figure. Confirm equipment, licences, installation, integrations, messaging, maintenance and support in a written site-specific quotation.

Which locations can be assessed?

Share the site location and scope with the team. Regional pages describe project enquiries and planning context; they do not establish a staffed branch or guaranteed dispatch time.

What should we send in an initial enquiry?

Share the facility type, camera count, model names and the operational outcome you want. Do not submit passwords, private video links or identity records through the public contact form.

Check the full path from camera to response

A detection is only useful if the right person receives it and knows what to do next.

What to prepare

What can affect the cost?

Camera systems can miss events or raise unwanted alerts. Agree test conditions, review the results and confirm the support commitment in writing.

Before you decide

Will this work with our cameras?

Camera models, recorder access, image detail, lighting and viewing angle all matter. Review representative views before deciding what can be reused.

Will every alert be correct?

No camera system should be treated as infallible. Agree what counts as an event, then measure useful alerts, unwanted alerts and missed events in representative conditions.

Who responds to an alert?

Assign a person or team for each event and agree what happens if they do not respond. Detection alone does not complete the response process.

Tell us your site location. Confirm assessment availability, travel arrangements and support coverage for that site before making a commitment.
