VigilantX Β· CAMERA SYSTEMS & INTELLIGENCE
CCTV installation and camera integration
A usable alert starts with a usable camera view. VigilantX evaluates CCTV installation and integration against the events operators need to identify and review.
Updated
Survey the scene
Record mounting height, lens coverage, illumination, glare and likely obstructions. Review representative day and night views. Vehicle plate capture needs different framing from a wide perimeter view; a single camera should not be assumed to serve every task equally well.
Integrate the supporting equipment
Assess network capacity, cabling routes, recorder channels, time synchronization and backup power. Verify camera and recorder models and supported interfaces. Access-control or alarm integration requires separate agreement on events, permissions, fallback behavior and manual overrides.
Commission and hand over
Test recording, playback, camera loss, power recovery and authorized remote access. Provide an asset list, coverage plan, configuration ownership and maintenance contacts. Analytics acceptance should measure both missed events and false alerts under representative operating conditions.
Questions before you decide
Must every camera be replaced?
No. Reuse is assessed per camera and task. Some views may only need configuration or lighting changes; others need a different lens, position or camera to provide enough detail.
How do I prepare a VigilantX assessment?
Share your site location, camera count, equipment models and priority outcome. VigilantX frames the discussion around operator workflows, alert review and multi-site security. Confirm installation coverage and local attendance for your address before agreeing a schedule.
